Frequently Asked Questions
1. What material are your products made of and is it safe for animals?
PLA is a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources like cornstarch or sugarcane. It is non-toxic, doesn't release harmful fumes and considered safe for animals.
2. Is PLA Heat-Resistant?
PLA softens/warps at around 60°C (140°F), so make sure to keep your strong heat lamp at a safe distance.
3. Can I use your products in an Aquarium?
Yes, you can use our product in your aquarium but there's a few thing to know:
• Putting our products under water will accelerate the biodegradation process so we would recommend sealing it with an aquarium-safe, waterproof coating if you want to keep them looking good for a long time.
• During the 3D printing process, air is trapped inside the model. This means that some items will be harder than other to keep at the bottom of the water.
• A very small number of product requires a few drops of non-toxic glue. These products will absolutely need the use of waterproof coating before underwater use.
4. What is the recommended way to clean the items?
To clean your reptile hides and décor, rinse them with lukewarm water and use a soft brush or sponge to remove dirt or debris. If needed, you can use a non-toxic, reptile-safe soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, boiling water, or dishwashers, as high heat can damage the material. Make sure the item is completely dry before placing it back in the enclosure.
